I haven’t had much time to blog latel, but I do need to stop by this place and say the best fuckin’ movie I’ve seen in a very long time is Repo! The Genetic Opera.
Here’s the trailer:
In the year 2056 – the not so distant future – an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family’s mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera.
My favorite song is Zydrate Anatomy, or at least it was in the beginning. Now most of the songs are my favorite. Since I purchased the album in iTunes I’ve listened to it about ~60 times… it the matter of like ~4 days. ^_^; That’s pretty much nonstop.
Director Darren Bousman (Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV), and screenwriters Darren Smith, and Terrance Zdunich came to UCSB last week on Wednesday to pre-screen the movie. They did a really fun Q&A afterward. (:
The movie will only play in 8 theaters nation-wide when it opens November 7th, but if it’s anywhere near you, go!!! It’s also on a road tour at the moment. Bestest thing uh EVER. I promise~
