Walking the tight-rope.

Get Out by circasurvive

Yesterday was a sloppy mess. I shouldn’t be this affected. My act needs to come back together. The past does not matter (though it has completely fucked me over in the present). I have to try to remember that. The future will come and it will bring about change, it has to… or life is meaningless.

My favorite band is releasing their third album on 4/20. This is just one of the songs on there. It’s addicting, and so absolutely brilliant.

Get out

Lock myself up in a room without a window
Just to see if it was any easier to breathe
I was wrong

Never underestimate the daylight
There it’s so much easier to breathe

  1. Hi,

My name is Edgar, Long time reader, first time commenter… =p jk well I haven’t commented on your blog in ages. I hope things get better for you cause there’s no need for you to be a “sloppy mess” (not really sure what that entails) BTW I’m soooooooooo freaking excited for new Circa Survive cd to come out. I preordered their cd the first day they announced and have been counting the days till I get my digital copy which will be a week before the cd comes out! =) whoo!!

P.S. Thanks for the errant txt the other night lol I know I wasn’t the intended target but still was nice hearing from you again.

  2. I love Circa Survive. And new album? Wooh, I’m so behind. That means new tour soon, right?! Can’t wait to see em.

I’ve been thinking about something similar lately… how the shit* we go through affects our future. I’ve began to consciously TELL myself that whatever negative i’ve been through, I will try my hardest to not project it onto others in the future. Because I know it’s possible.

You and I both know that what we’ve been through makes us who we are now. But BECAUSE we’re AWARE of that, I think it’s always important to remind ourselves that those things that have defeated us at some point cannot be reflected in the future — at least not in a bad way, despite how bad those downs have been. I know it’s such a cliche, but we really needa take only the good from the hard times. “What doesnt kill us make us stronger”.

I personally know, it’s very easy to grow resentment, but some of us are actually really lucky that we’re able to notice that. And I’ve noticed thinking positively (though times are always positive, per se) really does help.

Sorry for the ramble. Haha … it’s actually somethign that’s been on my mind. If you ever need to talk to someone, as much as you may think that you don’t need to, or think the way you feel is only important to you, not anyone else — I understand why you may say that, because I myself am that way. But I’m just letting you know, I’m always here, Deller. 🙂

PS: I have a new blog. Decided to use blogspot instead of xanga. Typed it into the ‘website URL’. THIS IS THE ONE this time. lol.
    .-= Giselle´s last blog ..Deux! =-.
