Work Attire [Image HEAVY]
This is what I want to look like when I go to work.
My mother likes to tell stories; she has a really great memory and talks about the past like it were yesterday. One particular story she’s shared a few times explains her passion for shoes. Before she came to America my family lived in Guatemala (that’s in Central America, folks), and so my mother attended elementary and middle school there. One particular day she couldn’t find her pair of shoes, or found only one – something like that. Education is a privilege in these parts and so school was not to be missed; my mother also only owned one pair of shoes back then. So, unable to find her shoes my grandmother made my mother walk to school – without shoes. The streets over there, at least then and in the small village my mom lived, were not paved to the extent streets in America are and in fact are made of rocks. Embarrassed by this moment in her life, my mom jokes that to ensure she is never without shoes again she must continually buy shoes… Haha! While I don’t buy that reason the story remains in my memory always and suddenly I am taking after my mother with my passion for shoes!
In my little heart I have a soft spot for Noir Victorian lace, booties, oxfords, etc., and maybe you can tell a little from some of my current shoe lusts but… NUDE and COGNAC colors are definitely infiltrating my dreams. I noticed a lot of my wardrobe consists of jewel tone colors and I associate that with a child’s wardrobe. NUDE, WHITE, HEATHER GREY, BLUSH PINK – these are all colors I associate with chic women. And so the goal now is to slowly donate, or otherwise gift a lot of the clothes I currently own to make room for a new kind of wardrobe.
If I had all the money in the world I’d get myself some o’ these:

Jeffrey Campbell Charli Platform Clog

Sam Edelman Zoe Wedge Bootie

Aldo Nold Wedge bootie

Aldo Mignogna Wedge Heel

Aldo Narain Oxford High Heel Bootie

Miu Miu White Round-Toe Lattice Pumps

Topshop “Super High Platform” shoe circa 2007
I’d die to get a hold of these!

Finsk Suede Wedge
Okay so Saturday night/Sunday morning at midnight there was a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show in San Pedro. It was some LO’ RENT area not gonna lie… but it was bomb anyway and the theatre was nice!!!!! Sandy, David, Piale, and I went shopping for outfits to wear (the theme was lingerie)… but we kept it G-Rated… more like PG hahaha. We put a little kick in our outfits~ hahaha I wore hella GLITTER, a dark shadow with cat eye liner, black tights, and a leotard!!! Hahaha… There will be hella pics come tomorrow!! (: Haha
For those that have never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, it’s this cult classic movie from the 70s about transvestites… sort of hahaha. It’s more than that, but either way there is singing, hella glitz, and it’s just amazing! We went and there were people performing it on stage while the movie ran and the audience yelled out all these lines that aren’t really in the movie… but yet everyone knows them. It’s so hard to explain! My outfit:

Outfit from American Apparel, Shoes from Guess
Group pics and pics at the theatre coming tomorrow. (: This was just afterward, after we had eaten at Denny’s. I got home at 5 am and my family was all still awake, just having gotten out of the jacuzzi. It was a little intense!!! Hahaha…
I love my makeup and my hot tranny mess hair!!
Those boots, which I got 50% off at Guess at The Citadel have some way high heels. I should probably measure it, but all I know is I was a regular sized woman in them! Lol… I’m only 5 ft so high heels are a must!
Speaking of high heels I ordered Kira Plastinina shoes today from her website… they were 75% off for the holidays. In fact, all her stuff is on sale right now! I got a tank for $5, the shoes for $22, and some pants for $17! (Original prices: $20, $88, $68) I’ve heard her shoes are amazing so I just had to get some. I only realized afterward that I don’t know the length of her pants… so they may not fit me. -_-; But they were cheap so I’ll just have to wait and see what happens when I get them. Hell, they may not even FIT me! Haha…

Things are running out waaaay quick!! So if you want to give her a try, might as well buy it now while it’s all 75% off. Btw, for those that haven’t heard of Kira Plastinina, she is the youngest ever fashion designer. She is currently only 16 and is already a pretty big deal in the fashion industry. (:
I’m sort of eager to go to one of her stores in SoCal. She has a lot in the LA area… yay~~ There’s one at the Beverly Center and I really want to go check it out!
Happy holidays everyone!! ^_^ Sorry I haven’t been keeping up on commenting on your blogs… the holiday season keeps me so busy! I’ll be getting to you all soon, promise!!
